The Public Safety Delivery Center is seeking a highly motivated IT professional to join the Technology Services team to support various technologies used to provide applications and services to the staff and members of the Pennsylvania State Police. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a part of the Technology Services team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with staff as you work together to support the mission of the Pennsylvania State Police. In this role, you will be a valuable team member that completes challenging projects that build the technical solutions needed to support law enforcement and public safety. Work includes maintaining, transporting, installing, and operating IT equipment both centralized and distributed throughout all remote locations. You will be providing a secure and up-to-date environment for IT resources for the Bureau of Enterprise Technology Services. You will be required to maintain an extensive knowledge and understanding of all enterprise IT policies and initiatives. You will be responsible for assisting users and other IT groups troubleshoot issues and act as a liaison with vendors. As a Network Specialist 2, you will feel the sense of accomplishment after implementing solutions that support complex business problems, create efficiencies, and reduce costs for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may vary due to required overtime and travel. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Network Specialist 1; or Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: You must pass a full Pennsylvania State Police background investigation. The selected candidate for this position must undergo a fingerprint-based records check to be in compliance with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS).
