Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults. HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being. Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults. How you make a difference

The Admission CoordinatoratHampsteadHospitalResidential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is responsible forcoordinating all aspects of the admission process, including responding to admission inquiries and educating prospective patients, families, and practitioners on hospital treatment programs and services. They ensure that insurance authorization or alternative payment for services is in place prior to admission and work collaboratively with staff to review and schedule new patient admissions. Additionally, they work closely with community-based referral sources to ensure all necessary referral information and documentation is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate prospective patients and families on hospital treatment programs, level of care criteria, and payment procedures.

• Accept and gather all necessary referral information, verbally present referrals to medical staff, and coordinate patient arrival times.

• Manage the daily admission flow, including scheduling level of care evaluations and responding to admission inquiries.

• Facilitate the signing in of new patients and ensure all required admission documentation is completedin accordance withregulations.

• Promote patient safety by reporting medical errors,participatingin hospital safety training programs, and engaging in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Requires at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree.

• Graduate degree is preferred.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a hospital or psychiatric setting.

Licenses/Certifications

• CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)

• CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)

Compliance

• Corporate Compliance (within 2 months of hire)

• Aligned with NH’s System of Care, supporting services that are: family-driven, youth-guided, community-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally and linguistically competent.
