The Packing/Shipping Clerk will be responsible for accurately and safely processing customer orders. Use order sheets to pull materials from bins, boxes, or other storage units in the warehouse. Use technology to identify the correct goods to remove from their location.. Ensure items entering and exiting the facility are properly assessed and stored. Maintain a neat, clean, and organize work area. What you will be responsible for in this role: Pulls and packs product based on daily orders. Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner. Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation. Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues. Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. Bendi, Palletizer, Dolly Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Forklift, and Electrical Pallet Jacks). Reports any mechanical problems. Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes. Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices. Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Performs other duties as assigned. What are the basic qualifications? High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years Forklift experience What are the preferred qualifications? 2+ years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment. To be a great fit for the role: Ability to lift 50 pounds plus bending, twisting or lifting from awkward positions or in tight spaces, must be able to push and pull cases in excess of 200lbs to 800lbs repetitiously. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, and/or kneel.
