SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The Material Handler(MH) will be responsible for accurately and safely loading and unloading materials. The MH will maintain the flow of materials to the various manufacturing cells to ensure that all material needs of the manufacturing floor are being met. The MH will ensure items entering the facility are properly assessed and stored. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments. Assists in the cycle counting process as requested. Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility. Responsible for the ongoing inventory accuracy of the facility. Notifies Inventory Control, Logistics Supervisor and Manufacturing Leadership when material control issues are discovered. Works with Inventory Control during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements. Works as part of the Shipping/Receiving team to ensure all requested material transfers are completed accurately in a timely manner. Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records. Participates in the continuous improvement of the Logistics department. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED preferred 1+ years' experience shipping/receiving in manufacturing environment Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Listen, read and communicate in English SYSTEM SKILLS: Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required Significant experience with and working knowledge of Oracle shipping and receiving modules are required MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to accurately perform inventory counts and verify accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Licensed fork lift operator PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sit, stand, walk, talk,
