Long Description

The Operations Graduate Development Program is an entry-level rotational program designed to provide recent college graduates with an opportunity to work in challenging environments while learning how our organization provides complete transport solutions. Eligible candidates will have a graduation date between May 2022 and May 2024. This Program does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

What you will do

At Group Trucks Operations you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:

As a manufacturing engineer in Hagerstown, you will be working on a team that focuses on implementing new processes related to new forms of power beyond that of the Internal Combustion Engine into the facility. You will have the opportunity to work with your global counterparts to help define the new master processes which include innovative technologies and design each new process for flexibility of these future products. You will be expected to work closely with a cross functional team, both within operations and externally, to provide feedback into the design of the products so that they are designed for assembly and manufacturability. You will be the process owner that will be responsible for working with external suppliers to implement equipment and tooling. These acquisitions will define the new way of working that will allow us to produce our new products according to product specifications while building safety and quality into these repeatable processes. As a manufacturing engineer in Hagerstown, you will also have the opportunity to continuously improve these production areas to create the best working environment for the operators.

  • In addition, you will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. We furthermore offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our fully electric or autonomous products.

Education/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.

  • A B.S. in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical, Engineering or equivalent.

  • Desire to learn and master new technologies to aid in digital transformation.
