Cabinet Finisher Job Description:

As a Wood Finisher, you will be responsible for applying finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing results.

  • Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling cracks, and applying sealants

  • Must be familiar with the art of mixing your own stains/paints to match control samples

  • Apply stains, varnishes, and other finishes to wood surfaces using brushes, sprayers, or rollers

  • Ensure even coverage and smooth finish by removing excess paint or finish

  • Use hand tools and equipment such as sanders, scrapers, and buffers to achieve desired results

  • Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs

  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications

Skills & Qualifications

Previously demonstrated strong attention to detail (this is important to be able to see any bubbles or alignment issues with the laminate

Ability to do basic math function

Previous experience with hand and power tools

Ability to accurately read a tape measure

Lamination experience

2-3 years experience working on cabinet assembly
