Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Gurnee, Illinois. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including project accounting, financial statement preparation, bank account and general ledger reconciliations, and payroll processing. You will be required to utilize your skills in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting tasks, including draw preparation and distribution

• Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Carry out percentage of completion calculations for ongoing projects

• Perform monthly accruals as part of the financial close process

• Reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded

• Conduct general ledger reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Process payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time

• Perform draw analysis to assist in financial decision-making

• Undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the accounting team. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as a Sr. Accountant or equivalent

• Proficient in Month End Close procedures

• Familiar with Financial Statement analysis

• Experience in the preparation of Financial Statements is required

• Demonstrable skills in Account Reconciliation

• A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Must have a strong understanding of accounting and financial regulations and laws.
