Here at SPARC Guilderland, an affiliate of St. Peter's Health Partners, we care for more people in more places.The schedule is Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pmPosition Highlights:Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life convergeAdvancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career developmentWhat you will do:Our Recreation Therapists will employ leisure activities to help patients engage and improve their minds, body and spirits, through the use of games, sports, and craft. They are responsible for assessing, planning and implementing recreational services for patients as well as for recreational therapy group work. May be assigned a small caseload. We are looking for a committed recreational therapist with flexibility and exceptional clinical reasoning skills. What you will need:Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to therapeutic recreationTwo years’ experience working with recreational programs preferredExperience working with behavioral health population preferred Certified recreation therapist preferredPay Range:$17.75 - $26.67 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
