Job Title: IT Director - Asset Management Location: OH - Columbus What you'll do: The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Director is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of IT assets across the organization, including those that are operated by cloud service providers. The responsibilities include defining, implementing, and monitoring controls, procedures, and processes for the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of technology hardware and software assets. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills to ensure all areas responsible for asset ownership are managing them effectively and in compliance with established standards. The ITAM Director will work in collaboration with other leaders to develop solutions and implement tools to enable an effective asset management program. What we are looking for: Strategic Planning. Develop and implement a comprehensive IT asset management strategy. Align IT asset management practices with the organization's strategic objectives and risk appetite. Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of IT asset inventory including licenses, warranties, service agreements, and versions to ensure compliance with contracts and internal standards related to architectural currency, e.g. N-2 Procurement and Vendor management: In collaboration with Vendor Management and FP&A, ensures the effective oversight of vendors and suppliers who provide and/or operate IT Assets. Ensures agreements clearly outline vendors and supplier's asset management responsibilities. Compliance and governance: Establish Asset Management standards and ensure compliance by internal teams and applicable 3rd parties. Implement, maintain, and enforce IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices. Financial Management: Develop and manage the IT asset management budget, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and optimization. Contributes to cost efficiencies through reporting of product and version compliance. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of asset management professionals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and collaboration. Leverage data to inform strategic planning, decision making, and highlight areas of risk exposure to addressed within appropriate timelines. Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. ITIL, CSAM) is preferred Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in IT Asset Management or a related field/responsibility Proven experience in a leadership role with responsibility for IT Asset Management Qualifications: Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management principles, best practices, and risk management practices with direct ServiceNow experience a strong preference. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and escalate difficult message to key stakeholders. Strategic thinker with ability to see big picture and manage risk at an enterprise level.
