This role’s primary responsibility is to create Gilbarco Veeder-Root Fueling Solutions Global Quality strategy and to provide oversight, direction, and implementation of the global quality system. This position will develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and processes to drive best in class global quality to exceed customer expectations. This position manages all aspects of Quality from Design for Reliability, Supplier Quality Management, Manufacturing Process Control and Customer Service & Support. The person in this position will collaborate closely with Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s leaders and their teams to drive quality improvements from the beginning to end of life across the global factories and based in the Greensboro, NC Plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Global responsibility to create and drive a best-in-class quality strategy that enables the business objectives to be achieved and continuously improve the customer experience.

• Implementation and further development of the “Vontier Reliability System”

• Develop a business deployment plan, to align global quality strategy, to include performance targets, resource requirements, process, and capability.

• Collaborate cross functionally with, Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of quality processes in the design phases and throughout the product life cycle.

• Oversee the global Quality System (e.g. ISO 9001) and ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer standards.

• Oversee CDT&R. Develop robust customer relationships to ensure customer quality teams are working effectively on delivering business value.

• Develop and manage KPIs and data analytics for the quality program.

• Partner with procurement teams to implement supplier quality management programs to monitor and improve quality standards.

• Create and conduct internal/external audits and drive timely completion of associated corrective actions.

• Act as the Quality advisor to the Gilbarco Veeder-Root Executive team.

• Responsible for creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the Quality team.

• Ability to travel 50% of working time.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering or Quality Management, MBA a plus.

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within quality management.

• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.

• ASQ certification or equivalent (CMQ/OE, CQE, Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma).

• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Experience in working with external partners where required to accelerate progress.

• Ability to collaborate with peers to address cross-functional business problems.

• Experience working with global teams and ability to travel globally.

• Strong skills in communication with diverse audiences, training/coaching, consulting/influencing, teamwork across disciplines and cultures.

• Willingness and ability to travel globally.
