North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State Unive Assistant/Associate Professor - Physician Assistant Studies in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description:

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies invites applications for a 12-month tenure track Foundational Science assistant professor. The successful candidate is expected to teach advanced-level courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology delivered by the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to designing the didactic curriculum; oversight, coordination, teaching, and assessment for basic science courses such as Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology. The candidate is expected to develop a translational research program aligned with the PA program goals. Additional duties will include but are not limited to student organization support and participation in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.

Requirements:

PhD in Anatomy, Physiology, Biology or related field

Teaching experience on the graduate level

Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)

High degree of organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Preferred:

5+ years of higher education experience

Have excellent interpersonal skills

Have strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills

Proficient written and verbal language skills
