Northeast Home Health Respiratory Therapist

This is an opportunity for a full-time therapist to join a dynamic home medical equipment company that specializes is complex respiratory patients including vents, oxygen, cough assist, and sleep. The person will also work with skilled nursing home patients to prevent respiratory related readmissions within St Peter’s Health Partner’s skilled nursing facilities. The position is full time weekdays with flexible hours. It requires one week per month on-call rotation. A comprehensive orientation and training is provided. It requires someone with at least one year of Respiratory care experience in acute care with home care experience preferred. It requires a clean driving record and use of personal vehicle with reimbursement for mileage.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of a two-year associate degree in respiratory therapy.

Experience Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the New York State Dept. of Education

  • Registered by the NBRC. New graduates may work under a limited NYS permit, but they are required to pass the NBRC registry exam within the time indicated on the limited permit

  • BLS and ACLS required

  • PALS/NRP recommended

Pay Range: $34.00 - $44.00

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
