Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
Join our team as a Controls Engineer where you will work alongside a Project Manager or lead projects to define scope, cost, and schedule while understanding the controls necessary to meet customer requirements. You will lead the Electrical Designer in specifying hardware components, developing electrical wiring diagrams, and ensuring technical accuracy and controls requirements compliance. Your responsibilities will also include writing functional descriptions based on customer controls requirements, developing and testing PLC programs, and performing onsite IO checks. Additionally, you will support the PLC program onsite until the system is in full production, conducting maintenance and operator training. For large projects, you will be supported by a Project Manager during startups; however, for smaller projects, you may often serve as the single point of contact.

The candidate will join an innovative automated solutions company with a dynamic team of about 35 members, including designers and drafters. The work environment consists of a cubed, air-conditioned office setting, with travel to manufacturing facilities in the paper, food, and dairy industries.
