JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20971 JOB DETAILS: WORKING TITLE: Assistant Teaching Professor - Nursing UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Teaching Assistant Professor POSTING DATE: June 14, 2024 START DATE: August 26, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Nursing and Health Studies department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Nursing. The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which embraces a team-based approach and innovative teaching methods to develop students who can think critically while delivering high quality care. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay\'s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. This position includes the following responsibilities: -Teach courses in didactic, skills/simulation, and clinical. -Facilitate optimal learning through integration of technology and utilization of appropriate delivery methods. -Advise and mentor students. -Build and maintain positive relationships with acute and long-term care healthcare clinical sites. -Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the Nursing & Health Studies programs. -Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay. SPECIAL NOTES: The home campus of this position is Green Bay. Position is a full-time 9-month, academic year, non-tenure track, Instructional Academic Staff appointment.
