Air Way Automation is looking to start up a Nigh Shift for our CNC Machining department to work at one of Northern Michigan's employers of choice - Air Way Automation.  We are very proud of our 50+ year history as a leading provider of automated parts feeding and assembly equipment to almost every automotive company and supplier in the world from our facilities in Grayling, MI. This night shift will be comprised of a NIGHT shift supervisor, and approximately 4 to 5 CNC Machinists, all offering a $6/hour shift premium.   The ideal candidates will be able to set-up and program CNC Machines, with limited supervision and commit to working a 48-hour weekly schedule (4 - 12 hour days, Monday through Thursday - but enjoy a 3-day weekend every week).

Responsibilities:

• G and M code program on the machines for small batch runs
• Setup and operate CNC machines
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Plan tooling requirements
• Verify setting by first part inspection
• Document actions by completing production and saving programs
• Observe continuing improvement methods

Requirements:

::: {bind="html: Job.Requirements"} - Minimum 5 years of experience in Machining - Minimum 2 years experience in CNC programming highly preferred - Mastercam or Featurecam experience a plus - Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred - Ability to balance multiple projects - Fanuc, Fadal, and or Haas experienced preferred - Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work in high output environment - Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently or in team environments - Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
