Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nuclear Medicine Technician obtains quality diagnostic studies by the utilization of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine imaging equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

. California license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

. ARRT or NMTCB certification

. Current BLS Healthcare Provider

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE BASE:

. Knowledge of: anatomy and physiology

. medical terminology related to imaging

. principles of operation and care of nuclear medicine equipment

. currently accepted nuclear medicine procedures

. radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator patient and public

. film processing systems mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the

patient examination environment.

. One year experience in an acute care hospital

Qualifications

One year experience in an acute care hospital. Knowledge of: anatomy and physiology medical terminology related to imaging principles of operation and care of nuclear medicine equipment currently accepted nuclear medicine procedures radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator patient and public film processing systems mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment. Current California license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist CT NMT CT NMTCBcurrent BLS Healthcare Provider

Pay Range

$59.19 - $77.13 /hour
