About Hospital

Corewell Health Regional Lab serves many types of patients and providers. Located on the Butterworth campus, we serve inpatients from Butterworth (including Level 1 Trauma Center), Meijer Heart Center, and Helen DeVos Ch ildren’s Hospital . We also serve many outpatient draw sites and offices . We also support more complex testing for many associated Corewell Health regional hospitals .

Scope of w ork

Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment . Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures and assists in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation .

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field preferred

  • Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field is required

  • Currently enrolled in a CLS internship or certification eligible is preferred

  • ASCP or AMT certification within 1 year
