Description:

The Surgical Clerk/Scheduler is an ancillary nursing team member who functions under the direct guidance of the Charge Nurse and Director/ Manager of Surgical Services. The Clerk/ Scheduler will perform tasks related to the optimal functioning of the nursing staff and patients.

Job Status : Casual, as needed

Shift: First

What you will need:

  • Current High School Diploma or GED.

  • CNA or MA preferred.

  • CPR required within 90 days of hire.

  • Computer knowledge and experience required.

What you will do:

  • Computer data entry activities including daily, monthly, and yearly stats concerning all aspects of surgical procedures.

  • Ordering and checking in of all office supplies in the Surgical Services Department

  • Building of the daily Surgical Services employee call schedule

  • Scheduling of all surgical procedures to be done in Surgery Department and assist as needed with scheduling in Endoscopy and Outpatient Procedure Room
