The GOM – Offshore Marine Team Lead will be part of the GOM Ops Marco Polo Ops 3 Department and will support the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This will be done by working closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.     

  • Support the roll-out, training, and implementation of policies and procedures with Continuous Process and Safety Improvement in mind
  • Identify operational improvements and work through to implementation, including clearly communicating responsibilities for all relevant personnel
  • Report any issues impacting process safety, personnel safety, and environmental conditions
  • Assist with all regulatory required testing, inspections, procedures, and completion of all required paperwork
  • Responsible for Issuing / Performing / Authorization Authority within the PTW system for keeping the worksite safe and clean, and ensuring all isolations are performed using the stated isolation procedures
  • Utilize Emergency and Operating Procedures and all relevant regulations; be aware of and adhere to such regulations so as to develop a safe and efficient working environment
  • Provide technical support and mentoring as needed
  • Perform Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) duties in the event the absence of the OIM

Qualifications

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • THUET, T-2 Certificate, OIM License
  • Advanced Fire Fighting, Lifeboatman, Fast Rescue Craft, First Aid / CPR, Helicopter Landing Officer, Barge Supervisor, Major Emergency Management
  • At least 5 years of experience working on a GOM Oxy platform
  • Experience in working rotational and shift patterns (14/14 days on/off and 12-hour shifts)
  • In depth knowledge of the responsibilities of an Issuing / Performing / Authorization Authority within the PTW system for keeping the worksite safe and clean, and ensuring all isolations are performed using the stated isolation procedures
  • Knowledgeable and capable of interpreting Process and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs)
  • Proven team player capable of working across discipline and company lines
