Glens Falls Hospital Ambulance/Transport Coordinator - Nursing Resources in Glens Falls, New York

The Impact You Can Make The Ambulance/Transport Coordinatoraims to streamline and centralize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency in utilizing the Ambulnz contract service, ultimately minimizing idle costs associated with the contract. The position coordinates with the units to understand and prioritize patient discharges and coordinates with outside EMS services. This position takes on additional responsibility to help coordinate internal patient movement through the prioritization of patient transport jobs using our electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms The Glens Falls Hospital Impact Mission Our Mission is to improve the health of people in our region by providing access to exceptional, affordable, and patient-centered care every day and in every setting. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Responsibilities * Management of EMS Outgoing Services * Provides oversight of the DocGo (Ambulance) Dashboard in the Logistics Center * Communicates with Ambulance to coordinate pick-up times for discharged patients * Communicates with other EMS providers as necessary to coordinate EMS pick-up dates/Times for Patients * Communicates Pick-Up Times with Patient Units and Updates Patient Throughput Dashboard * Communicates and Coordinates with bed Flow RN on Patient priorities for discharge/ EMS * Participates in Meetings at the discretion of the Logistics Center NM * Manages EMS Data and Invoice Accuracy I. Oversight of Patient Transport Job Board * Maintains visibility of CapMan (Current EMR Dashboard) * Monitors Assignments for Patient Transport * Delegates and rearranges Patient Transport Jobs based on priority, requests * Communicates Feedback to NM of Logistics Center Skills and Abilities: • Basic Computer Skills • Basic Telephone Use • Basic Communication Skills Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.27 to $27.40 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
