Responsibilities

About this opportunity:

Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan TJC and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. Through the use of accepted techniques and practices provides high quality Nuclear Medicine studies. Through safe operation and care of equipment ensures proper exposures of patients to radiation/radioactive radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic nuclear medicine exams. Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV and oral radiopharmaceuticals administration. Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. Able to evaluate coordinate and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self and involves supervisors as necessary. Provides professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while following hospital policies procedures and standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year or more as a technologist in a full service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department Computer skills for operating within the RIS/HIS/PACS medical terminology and good communication skills

  • Ability to successfully complete job related communication and arithmetic calculations. Radiation Safety/Safety Program related courses.

  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine issued by State of California (CNMT) Certification in Nuclear Medicine/Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-NM) and/or certification by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

  • Current CPR

Pay Range

$52.51 - $82.85 /hour
