Founded in 1926 Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Glendale California. The hospital offers a full complement of services including its award winning heart center, the colorectal surgery institute, a gastrointestinal program and is a Los Angeles County approved primary stroke center. Responsibilities

As the Director of our 29-bed acute inpatient psychiatric unit, you will spearhead the nursing practice and patient care operations. Your mission is to promote clinical excellence and evidence-based practices while fostering a healthy work environment that prioritizes team-based, patient-centered care. You will lead a team of 55 FTEs, overseeing their development, training, and well-being. Partnering with unit chiefs and clinical leaders, you will cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages continuous growth. Additionally, you will:

  • Manage budgets, allocate resources, assess unit operations, and identify process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and experience.

  • Oversee the operations of the Nursing department, including the delivery of nursing services.

  • Actively participate in the Performance Improvement and Risk Management programs.

  • Interpret accreditation and regulatory standards and implement processes to ensure compliance.

  • Develop and implement goals, policies, and protocols.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience required.

Required Licensure:

  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of CA required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Pay Range

$68.46 - $99.27 /hour
