We are seeking qualified candidates for the Global Sourcing Manager position based out of our Headquarters in Glen Allen, VA on a hybrid work model. The Global Sourcing Manager will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for key suppliers and products. This role involves collaborating and supporting cross-functional teams across the globe to maintain a reliable, cost-effective, supportive, and resilient supply chain to support HBB's strategic priorities.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product category teams and Sourcing team members in the USA and Asia by providing strategic direction, technical and business advice, support for issue resolution, and follow-up to new product development tasks, cost negotiations, product strategies, project schedules, quality issues, planning issues, etc. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key suppliers to maintain a reliable, cost-effective, supportive, and resilient supply chain that aligns with HBB's strategic priorities. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key product categories to support Hamilton Beach's product category business objectives. Contribute to managing and ensuring the implementation of the supplier-base management system to: Identify, select, and onboard new suppliers. Rationalize the supplier base to streamline the company's spending. Measure and track suppliers' KPI performance and continuous improvement. Manage sourcing strategies for key suppliers and products; present and discuss strategies to Sr. Management and Executives. Reinforce continuous compliance with HBB's Supplier Code of Conduct. Collaborate with multiple departments, e.g., Quality, Planning, Finance, Sales, CBD, Legal, etc., by providing advice, technical expertise, support, follow-up in issue resolution to suppliers' chargebacks, cost negotiations related to account cost opportunities, suppliers' liability issues, etc. Contributes and supports efforts to develop, implement, and sustain a supplier geographic diversification strategy. Collaborate with sourcing teams in the USA and Asia to manage supplier relationships; support critical product supply issues; conduct bi-annual price negotiations; conduct product cost benchmarking; evaluate alternative product sources. Collaborate with product teams and departments by contributing ideas and guidance to the company's Value Improved Program, VIP, to optimize products' costs. Maintains a motivated sourcing team that performs at the highest level to support, implement, sustain, and continually improve Global Sourcing's activities.

Requirements

: Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or business administration. 3+ years of professional and management experience in Global Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain with a deep understanding of best practices and world-class processes, including digital literacy specific to global sourcing. 3+ years of people management experience in a global context. Strong sense of ownership and s nse of urgency, driven and motivated. Ability to lead and influence change in the face of complexity and ambiguity. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key department and team members. Ability to lead complex and critical negotiations with internal departmental and team members, suppliers, and third parties. Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills are required, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
