Bloomfield Electric Company BOOKKEEPER in Glastonbury, Connecticut

Bloomfield Electric Company is looking for a full time in office Bookkeeper/Office Manager to assist in all office and financial activities.

Primary Duties to include Payroll, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax Filing and Human Resource functions. Perform all weekly payroll functions, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, prepare weekly reports for job cost, payables, receivables and checkbook. Process and submit weekly and monthly billing. Maintain and balance general ledger. Prepare quarterly financial statements. Prepare year end information for tax preparation and work with outside CPA firm. Gather and prepare yearly business and health insurance quotes.

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills:: 3-5 years relevant experience in construction accounting and bookkeeping, proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Should have experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Ledger. Should be a self-starter with attention to detail.

Benefits include Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation and 401k. Salary is 75k to 90k (commensurate with experience).
