Responsibilities:

  • Technically performs a variety of nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease.

  • Accountable for maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships consistent with Holy Cross Health Mission.

  • Responsible for performing optimal nuclear medicine studies under the direction of a radiologist.

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization-related information. Adheres to Standard Precautions.

  • Maintains current CPR, Maryland State license and ARRT certification.

  • Completes annual mandatory training, in-services, competency documentation and any other departmental documents.

  • Identifies care needs of patients/significant others and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served to include:

  • Neonates, infants, pediatric, young adults, middle adults, late adults.

  • Participates in team environment and will perform duties as assigned which are not limited to any one modality.

  • Supports the Mission of CHE Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.

What you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program

  • Certification and current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-NM) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

  • Licensed by the Sate of Maryland.

  • AHA - BLS CPR certified

  • The ability to perform duties directly involved with all nuclear medicine technical procedures applying ionizing radiation so that independent selection and modification of technical factors will produce optimum results.

  • Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English language.

Responsibilities If applicable for CT responsibilities

  • Nuclear Medicinal Technology Certification Board NMTCB with post primary (ARRT) CT and MD State Licensure

  • Must present documentation to practice on dedicated CT scanner/ MD Board of Physicians and training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams
