Licensed Practical Nurse Overview: Become a 1-on-1 student nurse and advocate by joining the leader in the home health care industry. We have 2 positions available in local Gaston County Schools for an LPN. This opportunity offers a great schedule and opportunity to care for the pediatric population. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs nursing care and assists with planning and implementing care for the comfort and well-being of the patient/students. LPNs scope of practice is dependent and directed, requiring assignment or delegation by and performance under the supervision, orders, or directions of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, dentist, or other licensed independent practitioner. The LPN participates in the assessment of patients/residents, supports ongoing data collection and determines who to inform of the information and when to inform them. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment, performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner, and assures patient’s/resident’s safety. Provides care in a holistic approach. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients/residents served. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Essential Functions: * Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care developed by supervising Registered Nurse and within scope of state’s nurse practice act. * Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes and report to supervising Registered Nurse. * Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill. * Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws. * Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. * Cases will vary on students' needs. Position Requirements: Licensed Nurse (LPN) Qualifications: * Current and unrestricted LPN license in NC or compact state. * 1 year experience. * Proof of eligibility to work in the US. * Reliable car. * Clean background and criminal record
