Learning Management System (LMS) Design and Development
Design and develop courses and learning experiences on the LMS.
Edit and update courses and learning experiences on the LMS as needed.
Utilize Brightspace features, HTML, and CSS when designing learning experiences.
Implement current visual identity and accessibility guidelines for all LMS experiences.
Identify and curate resources and assets for use on the LMS.
Upload and maintain resources and assets on the LMS.
Collaborate with IDs, SMEs, and designers when creating project sprints and learning experiences.
Assist in quality assurance for projects and learning experiences on the LMS.
Ensure integrated tools/applications and SCORMs perform as intended.
LMS System Management
Assist in Genius and Brightspace platform administration.
Act as a gatekeeper for Brightspace and Genius.
Share representative responsibilities at meetings that relate to Genius and/or Brightspace.
Assist in collection of LMS-related feedback from programs and instructors e. Manage the implementation of edits and updates to courses and learning experiences on the LMS
based on feedback.
Communicate and coordinate with content reviewers and instructional designers about updates and improvements to existing courses and learning experiences.
Coordinate course reviews and user acceptance testing on the LMS.
Coordinate project timelines to ensure timely launches of courses and of learning experiences.
Implement and maintain systems for course version tracking in GitHub.
Document Brightspace structures and program specifics in GitHub.
Student Supervision
Supervise Student Assistants and OPS employees by providing direction, deadlines, and support.
Create schedules and approve time for supervised employees.
Oversight of assigned tasks
Organizing and maintaining project files in relevant locations.
Maintaining naming and course mastering conventions.
Assisting with LMS design and development.
Assisting with maintaining and developing project tracking sheets.
Other tasks as assigned
Will travel for assigned business purpose minimally.

To achieve this, the Lastinger Center offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule that aligns with the university’s Flexibility in the Workplace Policy. Allowing employees to stagger arrival and departure times as necessary and to vary the number of workdays in the office so long as an employee’s FTE commitment is fulfilled within the university workweek. This policy also allows for occasional, incidental remote work based on individual circumstances.
Expected Salary:
$57,500 - $62,500
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
At least two years of hands-on experience with learning management systems, preferably D2L Brightspace.
Experience in deploying and managing online courses and integrating various educational technologies.
Proficiency in HTML, with a good understanding of CSS.
Experience with D2L Brightspace or similar LMS platforms.
