Trinity Health Staffing Assistant - Nursing Office, per diem (as needed) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description:

This is a per diem position on the evening shift, 1pm - 9:30pm and every other weekend from 12 noon to 8:30pm. This position is physically located in the Holy Cross Hospital Clinical Staffing Office.

  • What you will do:

  • Assist the Nursing Management Team in staffing and scheduling nursing personnel to meet the needs of the inpatient care units.

  • Assist Director in maintaining all documentation related to staffing and scheduling practices.

  • Make cost effective decisions in utilizing "stair-step" staffing model.

  • Prepare and maintains spreadsheets and documentation of supplemental staffing.

  • Display effective communication skills and serves as liaison for Nursing Services in both internal and external communications.

  • Maintain professional growth and development through attendance at educational programs and in-services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.

  • Healthcare background with knowledge of computerized staffing and scheduling systems is preferred.

  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills are essential.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential.

  • General offices computer skills are preferred.
