The Croghan Colonial Bank Operations Support Representative in Fremont, Ohio

Job Summary –

Responsible for representing Croghan Colonial Bank by providing exceptional support to external and internal customers. Inquiries may be received via telephone, email or fax. Provides expert support to bank staff with several bank services, including digital products, wire transfers and credit/debit/ATM cards. Provides support to several departments by accomplishing various tasks which are typically not of a time critical nature.

Essential Job Duties –

  • Responds to inquiries made by staff members. Assists with various requests for information.

  • Responsible for verifying outgoing wire transfers and processing incoming wires, including the completion and monitoring of OFAC verifications. Assessing wire fees for incoming and outgoing wires, when applicable.

  • Monitors and confirms all wire activity processed through the Federal Reserve FedLine Advantage and United Bankers Bank system.

  • Responsible to verify incoming deposits received via Mobile Deposit and complete the other tasks associated with this function.

  • Supports banking centers with various tasks including deposit account close outs, adding alerts to customer files and assists with credit/debit/ATM card inquires.

  • Represents Croghan Colonial Bank by providing exceptional customer service as the first line of contact for incoming email and fax inquiries. Provides customer services for external phone calls on a backup basis.

  • Knowledgeable in all digital products and services offered by the bank, including but not limited to online banking, mobile banking, and bill pay. Provides assistance in setting up digital banking products and services.

  • Receives emailed stop payment requests from customers and enters information on the system.

  • Prepares and processes Lock Box accounts and prepares monthly billings.

  • Serves as the point of customer contact for ACH & RDC Overlimit assistance. Gathers necessary information regarding transaction and approves temporary increases. Sends transaction information to the Businessnet Support email group

  • Responsible for the processing the daily transactions and image only items for the Operations Building utilizing Source Capture.

  • Complies with and maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Requirements –

  • A high school diploma

  • Less than 1 year of bank experience

  • Excellent people skills with a pleasant, professional phone manner

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently

  • Ability to use department phones competently

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
