Job Description Summary

The Privacy Analyst Operations is a member of the Privacy Office, represents the second line of defence for all Businesses, Functions and Regions for requests concerning the delivery of privacy-related tasks and processes in line with the BD Privacy and Data Protection Program, and reports to the Head of Privacy Operations.

This role is responsible for providing analytical and operational support to the Head of Privacy Operations and acts as the intake for all technical and procedural requests across BD globally, in particular:

  • Constant monitoring of privacy dedicated e-mailboxes for detection and escalation of requests and complaints from data subjects, privacy incidents and personal data breaches, as well as responding to requests for advice from BD Associates, contractors and third parties

  • Provides operative support in maintaining BD inventories of processing activities, IT applications, Third Parties and Products related to the various Regions and Functions, and in performing privacy impact assessments as appropriate and contributing to remediation of identified risks

  • Under the direction of the Head of Privacy Operations, supports business stakeholders in conducting relevant privacy assessments and contributing to remediation of identified gaps and implementation of appropriate Technical and Organizational Measures (TOMs), or escalating to the BD Global Privacy LT members those risks requiring immediate attention

  • Supports the ongoing management, configuration, and maintenance of the BD OneTrust tool and supports the OneTrust change management process

  • Supports the Head of Privacy Operations in conducting trend analyses of requests received from BD Associates and external customers, patients and those submitted by privacy authorities and regulators, and develops ad-hoc or regular reporting

  • Under the direction of the Head of Privacy Operations, develops standard tools, FAQs, training materials, content for the BD intranet web page which raises awareness of the BD Privacy and Data Protection Strategy and Program and facilitates simplification and standardization of internal processes and interactions between the different areas of the business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience in a privacy compliance role, or a master's degree or JD plus 1 year of experience

  • Focus on GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA or other privacy laws preferred

  • OneTrust certification, strongly preferred

  • IAPP certification(s) (CIPM, CIPP, CIPT), or ISO27001 certification(s), or ISACA Privacy Certification preferred

  • Demonstrated organization skills

  • Conducts business with a professional, collaborative approach that is proactive, solution oriented and forward thinking

  • Strong communication skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

Salary Range Information

$72,000.00 - $118,800.00
