Summary: The basic function of this role includes: service and repair wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems in an underground mining and stationary infrastructure. This role will also be responsible for electrical repair of mobile mining equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: (Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in the mine and surface infrastructures

  • Electronic testing and Inspections

  • Installing and m aintain conveyor systems, crushers, feeders, screens, power center, etc.

  • Other duties as required and other commercial and residential components.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Completion of Apprenticeship Program or Technical Trade School, preferred

  • 5 years’ Experience in Electrical Field

  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code

  • Experience in High Voltage Termination and Splices

  • Experience reading Electrical Schematics

  • Experience with PLC System, maintenance troubleshooting

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications; ability to learn new software programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands/ finger (repetitive motion), walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, twist, crawl, lift (10lbs-50lbs) reach, communicate, balance. Must be able to physically access all areas of underground mine; must be able to wear hard had , steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety cap and lamp, respirator, electrical arc flash PPE and be able to work in high reach areas. Employee occasionally sits and operates heavy machinery,

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, working at heights/high altitudes and abnormally high ambient temperatures. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employee must be able to work shift rotation, wear full body harness when applicable, walk on uneven ground and perform repetitive motion
