Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations Trainer in Fort Worth, Texas

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 9:00AM - 6:30PM (must be flexible and willing to work either shift due to employee's work schedule)

Work Location: 5400 Sandshell Dr. Fort Worth, TX 76137

Anticipated hourly range: $17.60 per hour - $26.4 per hour

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing training for individual or group settings to new hires as well as tenured employees (i.e., order selectors, loader, auditors, etc. new employee, elevate training, cross training, quality training)

  • Creating landmarks to be achieved through training content and creating training plans.

  • Implementing New Employee Onboarding Program to all employees across all roles inside the warehouse. This would include leadership.

  • Coaching, counseling, and inspiring employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.

  • Driving engagement with each employee.

  • Conducting skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.

  • Utilizing Training Matrix report that will provide you and your site with data that supports employee's knowledge, employees' hours in a function, the number of employees with knowledge in a function, etc.

  • Coordinating trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered, and evaluated for consistency.

  • Observing employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.

  • Documenting each training program and module properly and provides follow up for refresher training courses.

  • Determining that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training.

  • Complying with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to Supervisor and Safety Manager.

  • Maintaining a training log with trainees and holds weekly one-on-one meetings with new selectors.

  • Functioning as a general warehouse team member within the department and performs other duties as assigned when not training.

  • Learning and training on all functions within the warehouse.

  • Traveling as necessary based on needs of the business.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Must take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employees

  • Be willing to train during any shift hours for new employees for at least 2 weeks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Exhibits and practices positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment

  • Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor

  • May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members

  • Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate training needs
