Lockheed Martin System Architect Staff - Embedded Cyber in Fort Worth, Texas

Position Overview:

As a Cyber Architect at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are integrated seamlessly into system architecture, producing cyber-resilient security solutions for our air and weapon systems. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, participate in design reviews, and provide security expertise to ensure cybersecurity considerations are addressed early in the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and participate in architecture and design initiatives focused on embedded cyber capability for avionics platforms.

- Collaborate with the Chief Cyber Architect and software engineers to ensure security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, assessed, and implemented into robust and cyber-resilient design solutions.

- Utilize and tailor reference architecture models/tools to support the design and development of embedded capability.

- Develop detailed designs for specific installations and configurations of embedded-type capability on legacy and NextGen avionics architectures.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within the engineering team.

- Establish mission goals, plan tasks, and prioritize objectives to drive efficient execution.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering with a focus on system architecture.

- Strong understanding of model-based engineering methods and their application to cybersecurity engineering.

- Experience with developing detailed designs for embedded capability on avionics platforms.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve mission goals and objectives.

Must be a US citizen. This position offers situational telework opportunities in the Fort Worth, TX or Orlando, FL areas, as well as assisted relocation. The selected candidate must possess a secret clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :

- STEM or related Bachelor's degree

- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or Development processes

- Experience in Embedded System Architecture and Design

Desired Skills:

- Experience analyzing, decomposing, and allocating system architectures, requirements, and models

- Experience ensuring that cyber security requirements are properly defined, decomposed, allocated, assessed, and implemented into a system architecture to produce a cyber-resilient security design solution for the target platform.

- Experience developing security architecture representations (e.g. Accreditation Boundaries, Physical Diagrams, Logical Diagrams, Functional Diagrams, and Rack Layouts), system design modeling (UML, SysML, Rhapsody, Cameo, MagicDraw), as well as requirements management

- Experience performing vulnerability analysis, using automated assessment tools, and identifying risks and mitigations

- Prior software engineering / development experience for embedded platforms

- Background/knowledge working with information systems/environments that utilize the Open Mission Systems (OMS) standard and Universal Command and Control Standards Initiative (UCI) message set

- Familiarity with NIST 800-53 RMF Controls, NIST 800-160 V2 Developing Cyber Resilient Systems, and/or NIST V1.1 Cybersecurity Framework

- Experience with Artificial Intelligent and Machine Learning

- Experience with Agile project management tools (JIRA, VersionOne, etc.)

- Must be willing to mentor junior-level team members

- Experience conducting technical trade studies and assessments

- Experience with creating and presenting technical information to senior-level executives and customers

- Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Proficient technical writing skills

- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent communication skills (written and verbal communications) and have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment

- Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers and their accrediting authorities.

- Ability to travel as required

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
