Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2024 Summer Intern - Manufacturing Planner. Manufacturing Planners coordinate with the production teams to provide shop floor control on material, analyze and control production schedules and capacity requirements, and provide timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule. In this role, you will:

- proactively support continuous improvement of material flow, inventory management and shop floor control processes to support cost, schedule and quality objectives.

- Support metrics development, dashboards and strategic development & delivery.

- Utilize lean Six Sigma tools to identify, implement and coordinate preventative actions to mitigate performance challenges.

- Audit support and inventory processes.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment and lean manufacturing. Must be a US Citizen.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

- Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

- Previous manufacturing/operations experience; understanding of lean manufacturing

- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and macros

- Understanding of Visual Basic

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
