Job Summary
Develops designs and architectures that captures operational context and envisioned concepts, describe system boundaries and interfaces, and address operational and functional requirements. Develops test configurations laboratory environment in support of capability and integration testing. Applies IP Modem and SATCOM knowledge to support interoperability and integration of IP modems (e.g., iDirect, Viasat, DVB-S2, Comtech) and space vehicles (e.g., MUOS, WGSE, AEHF, UFO) systems to the Teleport gateway system. Provides expertise pertaining to IP routing (BGP, MPLS) and LAN switching and server VM virtualization technologies. Develops device configurations and settings to support appropriate system capabilities. Supports the configuration management process to control changes to the system baseline during testing and fielding. Develop engineering change requests and participates in configuration control boards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: hardware, concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Performs duties such as site surveys, system evaluation, system analysis, architecture, and infrastructure assessment. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Applies and/or develops advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts. Resolves issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs. Provides input to R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives.

Required knowledge and years of experience
Must have at least 4 - 6 years experience.
