Purpose

CWS Global is a not-for-profit, humanitarian aid organization providing a range of programs and supportive services to assist refugees and immigrants. The CWS Fort Collins office operates programming specifically supporting refugees and migrants, including refugee resettlement, intensive case management, immigration legal services, refugee co-sponsorship coordination, and cash disbursement services. Responsibilities

Essential Duties :

The Finance Manager oversees the financial operations of the CWS Colorado site and is responsible for performing financial activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with the Finance Department's established policies and procedures. Prepare the monthly allocation of administrative and operational invoices and expenses for CWS's Colorado office and specifically, the Colorado Refugee Sponsorship Program.

Review and analyze the comparative actual vs. budget reports monthly per grant/program and by G/L for the Colorado office. Maintains a tracking system to track revenues and expenses by program. Ensures timely preparation of monthly invoices for reimbursement of funds from program partners. Completes applicable reimbursement requests each month. Responsible for oversight of Petty Cash account, disbursement of Petty Cash, and other banking transactions. Oversees monthly compilation of credit card receipts and statements, and staff expense reports; ensures CWS Elkhart Finance office receives these items in a timely manner.

Prepare and submit journal entries to interface with the master General Ledger in Regional Finance Office for CWS Local office. Maintain a close working relationship with the Regional Finance Manager to ensure the accurate posting of expenses in the appropriate budget codes. Assist Regional Finance Manager with tasks, as needed. Oversee the monthly reconciliation of expenses and cash equivalent inventory (food and public transportation cards) for CWS Local office. Responsible for completing and submitting the monthly bank reconciliation. Prepare monthly Expense and Revenue reports for all the programs in CWS Local office. Responsible for preparing monthly reimbursement requests for the programs in CWS Local office. Supervise future finance staff members for the Colorado site, including hiring, training, and performance management. Post credit card transactions and invoices in the ERP system; Reconcile month end trial balance. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Regional Finance Manager, Local site Director and/or Regional Director.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Experience:

A minimum of 4 years' work experience in finance and/or accounting. Previous experience working with grants/grant funded programs.

Other Skills:

Strong analytical computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems. Working knowledge of payroll processing. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Special Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license and suitable transportation. Must complete motor vehicle record check. Must be willing and able to travel. Background check required.
