Job Description

-Provides guidance to less-experienced system engineers; may coach and review the work of less experienced professionals; may serve as a team or task lead

-Systems checks, team meeting, supporting projects and tasks.

-Works directly with various teams within the Enterprise group

-Daily interactions using Teams Chat, in-person discussions, and contact with professional services.

-Maintaining the existing VMware vSphere 7.x environment.

-Maintaining VSAN 7.0 (all-flash) SSD data storage systems.

Skills and Requirements

-Travel required: CONUS & OCONUS less then 10% and a week to two weeks

-Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of related experience- Application Development, Design, Software Applications, Virtualization, VMware

-CompTIA - Security+ CE - CompTIA, VMware Certified Professional (VCP) -- Vmware

-Active Secret Clearance

-Strong Experience with the following: . VMware vSphere 7.x, migration, vCenter

-Proficient in: vSphere HA, vCenter HA, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), VMotion, Certificate management, Key Management System, Enhanced Link Mode, VCSA Backup and Recovery, Host Profile, Network configurations such as VMKernel, VMNic, distributed switch configurations, Content Libraries, and vSAN storage policies.

-Ability to provide design, analysis, development, integration, documentation, testing, implementation, and user support.

-Ability to perform lifecycle replacements of hardware (ability to lift 50lbs - rack hosts)

-Familiarity with vROPs (ARIA Operations), SRM, vRA, and Horizon 7 DELL EMC server hardware.

-Knowledge with configuration of virtual Switches and VLANs

-Must know how a network communicates to software and hardware appliances, including failover, Fault Tolerance, and RAID -Active TS/SCI clearance null
