Pay: $38/hr. - $48/hr. (depending on overall relevant qualifications)

Shift: Standard Monday – Friday Morning Shift (100% Onsite) 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Manufacturing company in Federal Way, WA is currently hiring for a Manufacturing Planner. The primary focus of this position is on utilizing the ERP system to write manufacturing build plans. The build plans are used to populate Job Travelers that take the customers' product design from Engineering definition to a fully realized end-product. This process entails capturing and incorporating a wide variety of requirements such as purchase contract requirements, all types of engineering documentation, quality documentation and specifications of all types.

(Responsibilities)

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels.

  • Retrieve, fully comprehend and incorporate many types of governing requirements related to product realization:

  • Customers contractual and flow-down requirements (purchase contracts and LTAs)

  • Customer established governing documents.

  • Customer-supplied engineering documents and 3D models

  • Customer-supplied & industry standard specifications

  • Utilize customer portals to locate and retrieve customer specific requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure alignment of production plans with company objectives.

  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components required for production.

  • Monitor production progress and address any issues or delays that may arise to minimize disruptions to the production schedule.

  • Utilize ERP systems and software tools to track inventory levels, manage work orders, and generate production reports.

  • Facilitate changes to build plans based on internal requests, revisions to spec requirements and/or product definition.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for aerospace manufacturing processes.

  • Assist with Order Entry functions when necessary.

  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and Planning/Quality to clarify technical order requirements.

  • Generate and release production work orders based on production requirements.

  • Support manufacturing as needed by performing job splits, generate rework jobs based on NCR dispositions.

  • Support Quality and Programming departments in understanding complicated customer requirements.

(Job Requirements)

  • Must come from previous/current Aerospace Manufacturing Industry experience

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and standards

  • Basic understanding of GD&T required.

  • A Basic knowledge of modern multi-axis CNC machining practices is required.

  • 1-year of experience with 3D CAD software strongly preferred. Company uses CATIA.

Compensation is tied to the Colorado and Washington markets for jobs performed in Colorado and Washington. Other locations may be subject to variances based on location-related factors.
