Department Details

The Physical Medicine & Rehab Clinic team sees both pediatric and adult patients with a wide variety of diagnoses including: CVA, Brain Injury, SCI, plagiocephaly, medical genetic diagnoses and other neuromuscular conditions. In the clinic a variety of procedures can be performed including EMGs, Botox, Trigger Points, and Pain Management.

The PM&R team is a small family. We work closely together while sharing a space within the clinic and support each other in work and life while having fun and caring for their patients.

This position would primarily be working with the Adult patients, but orientation would include rooming and being familiar with the Pediatric patients our Peds Providers see. We are a close-knit group of 4 nursing staff in search of a fifth nurse to work with our great providers.

Monday through Friday clinic hours. No weekends or holidays.

Our ambulatory LPNs work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Provider or Physician and have the autonomy of being the primary nurse for a provider within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients

• Documents a thorough medical history from patient

• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered

• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals

• Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
