Description

Brittany Bui with Robert Half is seeking a Controller in the Education sector, located in Fairview, Oregon. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment where they will be responsible for overseeing internal controls, preparing for external audits, maintaining daily accounting systems, and leading the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls within the organization

• Prepare and coordinate external audit processes

• Lead daily maintenance and coordination of accounting systems

• Serve as the team lead for the accounting department

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient operation

• Perform Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct auditing activities to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Participate in Budget Processes and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation

• Ensure timely Month End Close activities for accurate financial reporting.

Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role, preferably within the Education industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions

• Proven experience in managing Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing and Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software

• Experience in handling Month End Close processes

• A solid understanding of financial trends and procedures within the Education sector

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is an advantage
