[]{#_Hlk15270516}SUMMARY: As an Electric Shop Technician, your primary responsibility is troubleshooting and repairing commercial aircraft electrical components. This role involves utilizing various tools, equipment, and precision tooling to maintain and enhance the functionality of electrical systems. Additionally, you will be required to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics and solder electronic devices and perform troubleshooting and repairs on various electro-mechanical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize various equipment and precision tooling related to electrical actuation (e.g., Multimeters, oscilloscopes, dynamometers, load cells).
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics.
  • Solder various electronic devices.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and build wire bundles, including fiber optics, electrical connectors, and removal/installation of connector pins.
  • Repair and troubleshoot linear, rotary, and pneumatic electro-mechanical actuation systems.
  • Install seals, O-rings, back-up rings, bearings, and bushings.
  • Inspect and verify conformance of finished work pieces to OEM specifications before release.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

     

*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *

  • Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.

     

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $21.50 -- $33.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at ATS, your final base hourly rate will be based on factors such as skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors -- we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range noted above is the full base hourly range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
