POSITION SUMMARY DIVISION: Government Services/Information Services/Telecom SUPERVISOR: IS Data Center and Systems Manager UNION REPRESENTATION: EA POSITION LOCATION: Eugene and other locations as needed including LCOG member sites. Remote work may be possible. POSITION PURPOSE: The primary role of the IT Systems Administrator is to manage, provision, and optimize in-house and hosted server environments, and the associated storage systems and network connections, to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications for LCOG and member sites. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1. Two years of progressively responsible experience in providing IT Services, OR 2. Any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the job. 3.Valid Oregon State driver\'s license or the ability to obtain reliable transportation to various sites within Lane County. Preferred 1. Previous work experience in a Systems Administrator role. 2. Previous work experience in the public sector and with governmental practices and procedures. 4.Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Certificate Authority, Domain Controllers, Group Policy, Firewalls & VPNs, File/Print Servers, VMware, and Remote Support. 5. Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, Group Policy, LDAP and VMware/Hyper-V. 6.Experience with running and maintaining scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Python, R, etc.) 7.Experience with cloud services such as Azure, and AWS
