SNOW COLLEGE Instructional Technology Specialist / IVC Assistant in EPHRAIM, Utah

Description

This is a full-time, 11-month position with benefits.  Start date August 21, 2024

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and some college required, Associate degree preferred 
  • Computer skills required 
  • Basic videography and video editing skills preferred 
  • Experience or knowledge of Snow College Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) system preferred 
  • Experience with Canvas LMS preferred
  • Ability to work with students, faculty, staff and outside Snow College entities with diplomacy and respect 
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage stress well 
  • Problem solver and exercises good judgment 
  • Flexible -- willing to adjust work schedule according to work demands 
  • Efficient and detail oriented 
  • Not afraid to learn new things 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Works well with young adults
Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • Work directly and assist with troubleshooting Snow College's Interactive Video Conferencing system 
  • Help train and supervise IVC facilitators
  • Assist in delivery of IVC broadcast classes and meetings
  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical/technical problems with Snow's IVC rooms, the Utah Education Network, and the connected end sites 
  • Assist IVC instructors with Webex and course-recording integration in Canvas
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of facilitator training videos and Canvas training-course content
  • Assist Lucy Phillips building Technology Assistants (TAs) with troubleshooting classroom equipment
  • Assist in scheduling IVC meetings as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned
