JOB TITLE: *CNC Setup Machinist *LOCATION: *Elyria, OH *SALARY *: $25-$30/hour based on experience *SHIFT *: 1^ st^ (Monday thru Thursday 6am-430pm.)( Must be available to work a half day or full day on Friday as needed.) Temp to hire opportunity with the company. As the CNC Setup Machinist you would perform duties to set up CNC Lathes and Mills for production runs, load and edit programs, occasionally write new programs, run 1^ st^ piece for approval, and assist operators. *Duties/Responsibilities

  • Able to fully setup CNC machines, write and/or adjust programs Siemens and/or FANUC controls, and sharpen and/or replace worn tools.
  • Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments such as; calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, thread gages, go/no go gages, etc.
  • Knowledge of reading drawings, blueprints, and specs. Knowledge of GD&T. Able to perform math calculations using fractions and decimals.
  • Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on machines.
  • Perform adjustment through use of work offsets and tool changes due to wear.
  • Able to assist in preventative maintenance of machines.
  • Able to maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, and take accurate measurements.
  • Assist in writing programs using Simens, FANUC, and conversational controls.
  • Work with Smart, EMCO, and Brother CNC mills and lathes.
  • May use ESPRITCAM software for writing programs.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 2+ year experience in setting up and programming CNC Mills and Lathes.
  • Able to read blueprints, read GD&T, and use measuring gages.
  • Must have experience with writing programs using FANUC and/or Siemens controls.
  • CAD/CAM software experience a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Schooling in CNC is a plus.
  • Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
