Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.

• Observe patient status and responses. Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.

• Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.

• Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED required.

• Enrolled in Nursing program required.

Additional Preferences

Year round program requiring minimum 36 hours per 6 week schedule - NOT SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Every 6 weeks, you will get to work with a Registered Nurse (RN) on the unit of your choice. Under the direct supervision of the RN, you will be able to provide basic patient care and practice assesment skills.
