Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Payroll Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry based in El Segundo, California. This role is crucial to our operations, supporting our payroll department and handling a variety of tasks related to payroll processing, time and attendance, and other administrative tasks. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate bi-weekly payroll files for both exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states.

• Process prior period timesheet corrections, adjustments, and late submissions.

• Update payroll files for various changes such as employee terminations, reimbursements, bonuses, etc.

• Cross-check payroll files to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.

• Address employee paycheck queries including stop payment and direct deposit returns.

• Assist with bi-weekly timesheet reports and error rectification.

• Maintain files within the Payroll Department.

• Manage the weekly time and attendance review process.

• Maintain the timesheet email inbox and ensure emails/calls are promptly addressed.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission and processing of timesheets.

• Perform monthly time and attendance audits for open items, discrepancies, and adjustments.

• Address employee timesheet issues and queries as needed.

Requirements

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with payroll processes and systems

• Understanding of accounting functions

• Proficiency in check processing
