  • Provides patient care to newborns, children, and adolescents in a hospital setting

  • Supervises medical students, residents, and advances practice professionals in the hospital setting

  • Participates in the education of medical students and residents

  • Engages in the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and scholarship

  • Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance such as committee work

  • Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission

  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility

Required Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D. O. degree, or foreign equivalent

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program

  • Texas medical license, or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas
