Kelly Services Facilities Manager in El Cajon, California

Kelly Services is currently seeking for a Facilities Manager for one of our top clients in El Cajon, CA.

JOB TITLE: Facilities Manager

*LOCATION: * El Cajon, CA

DURATION: 3 Months (Temporary / Contract)

PAY RATE: $36 an hour W2

Monday – Friday: starting 8am (40-hour week)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

o 5 years of experience in similar position

o Bachelor’s degree in engineering

o 3 year Experience in project management. Leading projects

o Managing/Coordinating supplier/quotes/compliance with work scope

o Building improvements

o Manage legal requirement to adhere to health and safety standards and legal requirements

o Managing budgets and Coordinating with Finance on capital request expenses

o Critical thinking and multitasking skills

o Knowledge of HVAC equipment, Electrical Installations

Typical Duties

  • Plans facilities for plant, office, and production equipment layouts and installation, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations by analyzing current and long-term organizational space needs, limitations, and cost.

  • Prepares and implements space layout, considering lighting, size, and condition of space; participates in space renovation and redesign; and coordinates occupant moves while maintaining records related to space allocation/usage, and improvements.

  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering/design firms or other contractors or vendors in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings and participates in the planning of facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs.

  • Maintains documentation such as power diagrams, network diagrams and blueprints or other engineering drawings and develops criteria and performance metrics for facilities and equipment specifications required

to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes and that all licenses are maintained.

Job Examples

  • Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components and electrical equipment within established SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies.

  • Develops a preventative maintenance plan, supervising external contractors required to maintain the facility ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety in Employment Act.

  • Inspects and performs preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC, WFI (water for injection), purified water/wastewater treatment equipment or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire or safety systems

  • May be accountable for a trade such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering to perform maintenance duties such as furniture moves, simple electrical projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, light construction and/or exterior cleanup.

  • Requires expert knowledge in area of accountability.

  • Recommends policy changes.

  • Has a measurable impact on the results of the work unit.

  • Provides direction according to established policies and management guidance; administers company policies that directly affect operations.
