We at Fairview Health Services are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Vascular Clinic on the Southdale campus in Edina, MN! This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible position. The hours of operation for this location are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. No Holiday or Weekends shifts. This position also qualifies for a $4000 sign on bonus. Responsibilities Job Description

As a member of the patients care team, Medical Assistants support quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN

  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory Care Experience

  • AAMA Certification
