Responsibilities

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and caring Advanced Practice Provider to join a dedicated multidisciplinary group. The successful candidate will serve a vital function in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI, providing inpatient care and outpatient hospital follow up to our patients.

Join a positive, patient-focused environment where you and the physicians’ become partners and mutual advisors. With supervision and management by both physicians and other NP/PAs, you are supported by people who understand your professional needs and goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and comfort in working with patients with Psychiatric illness. We expect this candidate to have an interest to learn/ be comfortable with psychiatric conditions and their management.

The scope of work will involve working as an integral team member of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Physician Assistant - Licensed in the state of Wisconsin or eligible for licensure. Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. NCCPA Certified. Current BLS Certification.

Nurse Practitioner - Active Wisconsin RN license. Active Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license or eligible for licensure. Board Certification through recognized national organization (ANCC, AACN, or AANP). Current BLS Certification. Preference given to candidates with a PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health NP certification).

Additional Qualifications:

Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
